Trackline kit from TC Kline: H&R Sport Springs, w/KONI-SA external adjustable shocks (both front and rear adjustable without removal!), and new rear shock mounts (RSMs). For 'fun' while installing the kit I swapped the stock front strut hats. I ended up with -2.75 and -3.0deg of camber. I felt that was way too much for my 99.1% street car so I got to enjoy taking the car off the alignment rack and returning the mounts to their normal positions. Your results may vary! Obviously for a mostly street car with occasional track visits adjustable camber plates are the way to go. Installed November 16, 2002. |

Optima 32R Battery installed June 16, 2004 after the original battery finally died. The Optima started getting weak so I replaced it with a new one in March of 2014. |

Dinan Stage 1 Performance Tune D900-32M2 - July 18, 2016 @ 128,796 miles - That is right, this car is still my daily driver (I admit I don't get out much). Classic BMW in Plano, Texas (a Dallas area dealer) held a free raffle and I won a free tune - Thank you Classic BMW! Dinan was able to extract more HP/TQ under the entire RPM range up to max of 10hp and 10ft/lb torque at 5000RPM by re-programming the fuel mixture and ignition timing parameters of the engine management system. The software flash also safely raises the rev-limit to 7200RPM which provides a broader power band and greater road speed potential in each gear. The top speed governor (was 140 MPH) was also eliminated, enabling the vehicle to achieve its natural top speed which is ~160 MPH. This tune is 50 state emissions legal. |
